Absecon Lighthouse
The 17 story Absecon Lighthouse has undergone a $3.5 million facelift and renovation and is ready for tourists.
Built in 1857, the historic lighthouse sits at the north end of Absecon Island, just a few blocks from Atlantic City's glittering casinos. Visitors can climb the 228 steps to the top and look out on the new Atlantic City from one of it's most historic attractions.
Open Thurs. - Mon. 11am to 4pm Sept. to June, and Daily 10am to 5pm in July and August. Admission, $5 adults, $2 children. Call for more information: 609-441-9272.
